School Shade / Play Structures from Clovis Canopies

School Canopies - Shade / Play Area Canopy Structures

All UK schools are being encouraged to provide shade areas for children playing or studying outside.

Prolonged over exposure to the sun and episodes of sunburn under the age of 15 are major risk factors for skin cancer in later life. Practical protection in the form of shade is one of the most effective ways of preventing sunburn and reducing the risk of skin cancer.

Shaded play areas can also be used for out door classrooms, play areas, bandstands and used as parent waiting areas may receive grant funding.

This secure and protected Cheltenham canopy play area was created in a former unused garden with a pond. This has now become an area which can be used all year come rain or shine.

An Ascot 5m x 5m playground shade canopy, with beige cover and mulberry coloured framework to match the schools colour scheme.

The Ascot features an attractive cantilevered eaves design, large diameter round columns and integral rainwater downpipes.

A Keston single pitch roof canopy formed over what was an unused courtyard area in an infant school.

A convenient location was under utilised until this Kingston canopy solved the damp issue. This playground area will also now be used as a greenhouse for small pots and growbags, adding further interest for the children.

Due to the windy position, this Twickenham outdoor play canopy has optional panels in the gable ends, to further protect and shelter the children in windy conditions.
